Truck Wheel Wash System: Stop Mud at the Gate Before It Reaches the Road

Every truck that leaves a construction site carries part of the site with it. Mud on tyres and undercarriages ends up on the public road, where it becomes slippery, turns into dust and draws complaints. A truck wheel wash system at the exit gate washes each vehicle before it leaves, automatically and the same way every time.

This guide explains what the GO&GO construction vehicle wash (model ACOWM) does, how it works and what your site needs to plan for.

The problem

Why Mud at the Gate Becomes a Site Problem

Dirty public roads

As a result, mud tracked onto roads is the first thing neighbours and local authorities notice.

Slow manual hosing

Washing trucks by hand at the gate is slow, so loaded trucks wait in line as a result.

Labour every shift

Moreover, manual washing needs people on every shift, and results depend on who is on duty.

Mud piling up

Meanwhile, washed-off mud collects quickly at the wash point and has to be removed.

What you want

What Site Managers Want From a Wheel Wash

  • Every vehicle leaves clean, without a dedicated wash crew
  • A short wash that keeps trucks moving through the gate
  • A record of how many vehicles were washed
  • Equipment that holds up to mud, dust and heavy loads
  • A system designed around the site’s own gate and vehicles

The solution

The GO&GO Construction Vehicle Wash (ACOWM)

The ACOWM washes the undercarriage, wheels and sides of construction vehicles, garbage trucks and other trucks with high-pressure water. Optical sensors detect each vehicle and switch the spray nozzles on and off, so no one has to press a button.

A wash takes about 1–2 minutes per vehicle, and GO&GO rates the system at 200–300 vehicles per day. Each system is designed around the customer’s specific needs.

Truck Wheel Wash System Features and Benefits

01

Optical sensors

Detect each vehicle and start or stop the spray.

Your benefit: no wash crew needed to run each cycle.

48 high-pressure nozzles

Positioned above and below to clean sides, wheels and undercarriage at the same time.

Your benefit: the whole lower vehicle is washed in one cycle.

03

Load-bearing steel frame

In fact, it is built for vehicles of 30–40 tonnes per axle.

Your benefit: suitable for fully loaded heavy trucks.

04

Automatic mud and water winch

The mud discharge system handles washed-off mud.

Your benefit: less manual clearing at the wash point.

05

High-pressure spray system

Water pressure of 3–5 kg/cm².

Your benefit: steady pressure on wheels and undercarriage.

06

Counter and emergency stop

Every vehicle is counted; the system stops safely if something goes wrong.

How it works

How the Truck Wheel Wash System Works at Your Gate

First, the driver brings the vehicle into the wash and positions it according to the signals. As soon as the optical sensors detect the vehicle, the spray nozzles switch on automatically.

Then the high-pressure nozzles above and below the vehicle clean its sides, wheels and undercarriage at the same time. When the vehicle moves out of the system, the nozzles shut off automatically, so water is only used while a vehicle is in the wash.

Meanwhile, the automatic mud and water winch deals with the mud that is washed off. In addition, the counter records every vehicle, so your team can compare the number of washes with the number of trucks leaving the site.

FAQ

FAQs

Does someone need to operate it?

Washing starts and stops automatically by sensor. However, staff should still check water levels and deal with the mud the system collects.

Can it be adapted to our gate and vehicles?

What vehicles can it wash?

Construction vehicles, garbage trucks and other trucks, with a maximum vehicle load of 30–40 tonnes per axle.

How much water does it use?

About 200 L per minute while washing, so roughly 200–400 L per vehicle at 1–2 minutes per wash. Plan your water supply and drainage accordingly.

Can I see the machine before ordering?

Yes. You can book a free trial wash and see a real machine at the GO&GO workshop in Ho Chi Minh City, then order only when you are satisfied.

What does the warranty cover?

Main equipment such as pumps, control cabinets, sensors and motors has a 12-month hardware warranty. Damage from short circuits, rodents or operator impact is not covered.
